In March 2013, Kelly Derricott suffered from a viral infection that resulted in acute pericarditis (inflammation of the tissue surrounding the heart). It was a life changing event for Kelly and her family, and thanks to the excellent care of the St. Paul’s Hospital Cardiac Intensive Care Unit during her 10 day stay, she was able to return home and begin her journey to complete recovery. Now ten years later, Kelly and her family want to show their appreciation again with this fundraiser for the St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation.
