St. Paul's Third Party Event Fundraising

Elite Mentors Association

We are very proud to support the compassionate and world-class health care that St. Paul’s Foundation supports across the province.

Elite Mentors Association's current cohort of Youth Community Leaders wants to start a fund-raising campaign for St. Paul's Foundation, who has put together a COVID-19 Response Fund to support Providence Health Care (PHC)’s patients, residents, researchers and health care team.

The COVID-19 Response Fund will be used to support the greatest needs created by the current crisis. These needs continue to evolve as the dedicated people of PHC continue to respond to emerging needs. These needs may include support for the following:

  • The St. Paul’s pathology laboratory that continues to attempt to keep up to the increased need for COVID-19 testing from across the Province.
  • Researchers in the Center for Heart Lung Innovation who are joining the world-wide effort to better understand the coronavirus and to search for a treatment
  • Equipment for St. Paul’s Hospital and Mount St. Joseph’s Hospital as they re-deploy current hospital equipment and resources to deal with the increased number of patients and precautions being taken as a result of the current situation.

There are many other potential supports needed for patients, residents, staff and researchers as the COVID-19 crisis continues and St Paul's Foundation will continue to be there to support them as their needs evolve and change. They’re leaving the fund terms very flexible to allow maximum impact, creativity and ability to respond quickly as needs arise.

We need to all come together to overcome this unprecedented challenge. Elite Mentors Association will dedicate this initial fundraising campaign to new research projects/program that will directly go towards fighting the COVID19 contagion.

Note: maximum on-line donation is $50,000. If you have any questions or need assistance, please feel free to contact Teija Beck (Manager, Major Gifts – Heart & Lung, St. Paul's Foundation) at tbeck1@providencehealth.bc.ca.
