Cindy Michelle DePourcq Lecuyer passed away, at the age of 56 years, in the loving arms of her husband and surrounded by family, on May 20, 2023 at St. Paul’s Hospital, Vancouver, BC. Cindy was born with a congenital heart defect which required a life full of doctor exams, tests and invasive procedures. On March 7, 2023, Cindy received the gift of a new heart. Unexpectedly over the last week of her life, Cindy developed an infection in her lungs, for which there was no life saving treatment. As an adult, Cindy was cared for by the PACH (Pacific Adult Congenital Heart) Clinic team under the compassionate and trusted care of Dr. Marla Kiess. They were her life line. Cindy was known for her amazing courage and sense of humour throughout her life.
